Knew Conscious Gallery is honored to present Denver painter CT Nelson in his inaugural solo exhibition in the United States, “Darker Side of Light”.
Opening reception with the artist on Second Saturday June 9th from 8:00 pm to 11:30 with musical guest Ultraviolet. This event is free and open to the public
CT Nelson either does not fit into any one artistic movement or he might fit into all of them. His unique paint style draws from many and has been developed into one that is completely his own. By juxtaposing graffiti line and pattern work within western or neo-classical imagery that then explodes into piles or fragments and repeating patterns, CT creates emotional intrigue and complexity that goes beyond the obvious and is truly captivating to the viewer. A genius use of light and color soothes a sharp emotional response and any discomfort turns to curiosity and a desire to delve into a deeper look into the surreal landscape.
CT Nelson was born and raised in Nebraska. After completing college for design and Art History at University of Nebraska, a lucrative design job brought him to Colorado. In Denver, CT started to hone in on the direction and craft of his painting and has come to be one of Denver’s most exciting artists.
The Gallery will be offering 3 unique limited edition prints in support of the show. More details to come.
Closing reception on First Friday July 6th from 7pm – 10pm.
